Our EMDR Training
Are you looking for an accredited EMDR training course?
At EMDR Nexus, we offer EMDR Europe Association accredited training, ensuring the highest standard of EMDR training.
Being one of the few UK organisations approved by EMDR Europe Association means both the course content, the trainer and the facilitators meet European standards. While many providers offer EMDR training, only accredited courses ensure quality and count towards becoming an EMDR Europe accredited practitioner and enable membership of EMDR UK Association.
Our online and in-person courses have a maximum ratio of 12 participants to 1 trainer/ facilitator, ensuring that expertise and support is always at hand.
In order for participants to develop competency in EMDR and to feel confident in using it in clinical practice, our hands-on, interactive training incorporates:
Teaching of theoretical foundations
Use of clinical video material
Demonstrations of skills
Small group work to practice skills
Opportunities to practice delivering EMDR as a therapist under expert supervision
Opportunities to experience EMDR as a client, working on own real issues
Clinical supervision of your own cases
The full basic training consists of 7 days into 3 parts.
Whether you're a psychologist, psychotherapist, counsellor, social worker or another eligible mental health professional, our EMDR training course will empower you to help individuals overcome unresolved trauma, anxiety, phobias, and more.
EMDR therapy is a powerful psychotherapeutic approach requiring a high level of skill and EMDR Europe Association has strict guidelines as to who is eligible to train. Please see the eligibility criteria before applying for the training.
